Earnin was recently partnered on a study conducted by Opportunity Insights regarding unemployment. The study found that ending UI benefits early did have an impact on people, but not necessarily a good one. In fact, for many Americans, UI benefits were the main thing keeping them afloat during the pandemic.
We partner with Opportunity Insights to help illuminate the human consequences of issues impacting work, wages & the paycycle. With this most recent study you can see the macro economic impact. The data reflected in the Opportunity Insights Economic Tracker, including all data provided by Earnin, are aggregated, de-identified, and do not reveal information about specific individuals, transactions, or businesses, so we’re able to provide rich data sets that generate real insights while maintaining consumer privacy. We hope by showing how hard Americans work, and the challenges they face, legislators and companies like ours can find better solutions.
